The patented teeth in The Original hairbrush have two-tiered regular-flex technology. The long, flexible teeth detangle, removing tangles and reducing breakage, while the short teeth smooth, for glossy, frizz-free hair. It’s that simple. The Original is great for all hair types, but is particularly well-suited to regular or flyaway locks. Our very first detangling hairbrush really is ‘the original’, and makes short work of knots and tangles, leaving hair healthy, shiny and frizz-free. The teeth of the Tangle Teezer are long-lasting, but if you have fine hair there will be less tension placed on the teeth than those with thick and curly hair textures. It’s much like a toothbrush, when you stop feeling the full benefits of the brush, it’s time to replace.

The best way to clean your Tangle Teezer hairbrush is to run it under warm water, using a little shampoo to clean the bristles and the base. You can also use an old toothbrush to gently brush over the teeth. Shake it from side to side to remove any excess water and leave to dry on a hard, flat surface with the teeth facing downwards. Hairbrushes in the Detangling and Finishing ranges should not be used with heat, as this can cause the teeth to melt. Only the brushes in our Blow-Styling range have been specifically designed to be used with heat.
