Sudocrem nappy rash cream 30g tube is ideal for home or away - a clinically proven treatment for nappy rash, which helps soothe, heal and protect your baby’s delicate skin. Sudocrem is made up in a base with water-repellent properties which form a protective barrier, therefore helping to stop any irritants (urine and stools) coming into contact with the skin. In addition, the emollient effect can help to soothe sore inflamed skin whilst leaving the skin feeling soft. If Sudocrem is applied correctly (a small amount, applied thinly), there is no evidence to suggest that it will affect a nappy’s ability to absorb urine next time.
Nappy rash is a very common skin condition. It happens when the skin on your child's bottom is damaged and irritated. The main cause of nappy rash is wearing a wet or dirty nappy for too long. This is because your child's skin can be irritated by a chemical called ammonia, which is in wee and poo.Up to 1/3 of babies have nappy rash at any one time. Nappy rash can lead to an increased frequency of crying, changes in eating habits and sleep patterns, agitated and restless behaviour and sometime less urination and/or defaecation to avoid pain. Careful care when changing your baby’s nappy can help prevent nappy rash.
