Calpol Vapour Plug & Nightlight

The Calpol Vapour Plug & Nightlight is a soothing and comforting 8 hour night light to help children sleep. Contains a blend of aromatic oils to help soothe and comfort your child at night time whilst helping to dilate nasal passages. Suitable for children over 3 months. The plug contains chamomile and lavender, which help to clear your child’s airways and ease their breathing. This helps to comfort your child as they recover from a blocked nose, while the friendly nightlight helps them to feel safe and reassured.

To simply use just plug it in and can be used for up to 8 hours. When you need to change over the vapour pad, cut across the top of the foil pouch and expose the pad, slide the pad into the vapour plug. When you insert a fresh pad, the old one will be pushed out of the other side so you can dispose of it.

The Calpol Vapour Plug also works as a nightlight, which many children use for comfort as they grow up, and many parents use to help them to navigate their child’s room without waking them. This product uses a light sensor, so when you turn the light off, this night light will come on and help your child drift off to sleep. When the light comes back on in the morning, the night light will switch off again automatically.

Blocked noses and congestion in children are usually caused by an infection or allergy. Infections (viral or bacterial) can cause nasal passage membranes to become inflamed and trigger a runny or blocked nose. The flu is a viral infection that can sometimes cause congestion. Sinusitis often follows a cold, and can cause a swelling of the sinuses leading to a bunged-up feeling. As well as a blocked or runny nose, it can also cause pain or tenderness in the cheeks, eyes, forehead, head and teeth. Sometimes babies younger than six months will get the “snuffles”. A baby is usually snuffly because they have a build-up of mucus in their tiny noses and narrow nasal passages and can’t clear it themselves.
