Carnation Chiropody Felt Large 1 pack is manufactured to offload pressure from the area over which it is applied. It is an easy to use and comfortable aid to help reduce pressure and friction on the heels, balls of the feet, arches and tops of feet.
A bunion is an inflamed fluid-filled bursa formed on the side of the foot. The joint protrudes because the toe is bent away at an angle, pushing into the other toes and causing them to bend unnaturally. Sometimes the second toe is forced over the big toe leading to the toes being crammed together and subsequently, as a result of the pressure, to the formation of corns and callouses.
A blister causes pain and tenderness. It consists of a collection of fluid found between the outer and inner layers of the skin. This fluid is a result of leakage from blood vessels beneath the skin after minor damage. Blister provides valuable protection to the damaged tissue.
A callous is a build-up of dead skin. It has no nucleus or root, but can cause pain. It is an area of evenly thickened skin that generally forms on the heel, on the side of the big toe or on the ball of the foot. This area can be bulbous, red and protruding or dry, yellow and flaky.
