MacuShield Gold provides a MacuShield Original formulation with additional vitamins and minerals. Scientific research shows that the three nutrients; meso - zeaxanthin, lutein and zeaxanthin are found at the back of the eye, at the macula, where they form the macular pigment (yellow colour). Meso-zeaxanthin is particularly concentrated at the centre of this pigment. Lutein and zeaxanthin can be found in fruits and vegetables and meso-zeaxanthin is present in some species of fish and seafood. The macular carotenoids in MacuShield Gold are obtained from marigolds (Tagetes Erecta), specifically grown for this purpose. Zinc contributes to protecting cells from free radicals, which can cause oxidative damage and contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. Copper is included to maintain healthy levels of this essential mineral.
Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is a common condition that affects the centre of your vision. It happens when the macula, a pigmented area in your retina that is responsible for the centre of your vision, becomes damaged or begins to degenerate. If you have AMD, you’ll usually experience it for the first time during your 50s or 60s, when you may notice that the centre of your vision is blurry or distorted. There are two types of AMD, wet AMD which happens over just a few weeks or months, and dry AMD which develops over a few years.

Directions
Take 3 capsules every day, swallowed with a sip of water. You can take them all at once or throughout the day, but you should always take them with a meal. -
